Sherrie Thiede, 61, of Deerbrook, died Oct. 16, 2005 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital of Wegener’s Granulomatosis Disease. She was born in Fond du lac on Aug. 18, 1944. She is the daughter of Violet (Zingshein) Konrath of Hartford and the late Harland J. Konrath. She married Donald Thiede on July 11, 1964 at St. Kilian Catholic Church in Hartford. Sherrie was a 1962 graduate of Hartford High School and was a member of the Tombstone-Pickerel Snowmobile Club and St. Mary Catholic Church in Pickerel, where she was an active member serving as a lecturer, eucharistic minister, parish council, planning committee and funeral dinner committee member. She co-coordinated the religious education, bible study group and sang in the church choir. Raised in Hartford, following her marriage she and her husband moved to Grafton were she was employed part-time at the News Graphic in Grafton as an administrative assistant. In 2000, they moved to Deerbrook. She enjoyed snowmobiling, camping, ATVing, gardening and taking care of her yard.
She is survived by her mother and her husband. She is also survived by her children, Tami Schneider of Germantown and Todd (Deann) Thiede of Grafton; five grandchildren, Alex, Jake, Taylor, Leah and Emilee; a sister, Kathy "Kate" (Frank) Zabler of Neosho; and two brothers, Ronald (Heidi) Konrath of Sussex and Robert Konrath of Hartford. She was preceded in death by her father, Harland.
Funeral services were on Wednesday, Oct. 19, 2005 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Pickerel. Visitation was on Tuesday, Oct. 18, 2005 at Bradley Funeral Home in Antigo and at the church on Wednesday, Oct. 19, 2005 prior to the service. Burial was in St. Mary Cemetery.
