Hilda K. Brodzeller

Hilda K. Brodzeller, nee Wiedmeyer, 94, of Slinger, formerly of Allenton, died on Saturday, Oct. 15, 2005 at Autumn Oaks in Slinger.

She was born on June 22, 1911 on the family farm near Theresa to the late Frank and Rose (nee Hug) Wiedmeyer.

After her marriage to Gilbert P. Brodzeller on Sept. 26, 1933 at Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Nenno, they settled in Allenton.

Hilda was employed at various places, including Amity Leather Products, the Farmers Store in Allenton, and later at St. Joseph’s Hospital as an aide.

In addition to working, Hilda liked to be involved in various activities and partake in many hobbies, which included flower gardening, dancing, playing sheepshead, crocheting, knitting, sewing, baking, entertaining and hosting dinner parties.

She was a member of the Christian Women’s Confraternity at Sacred Heart Parish in Allenton.

Survivors include a brother, Harold (Florence) Wiedmeyer of Theresa; five sisters, Alice (Wilmer) Herman of Kohlsville, Theresa Hembel and Rita Wiesner, both of West Bend, Mildred (Norbert) Weiland of Ashford and Rosemary Bonlender of Allenton; two sisters-in-law, Clara Pyke of Missouri and Bernice Wiedmeyer of Theresa; many nieces and nephews and their families, and other relatives and friends.

Preceding her in death were three brothers, Ray, Frank and Leonard, and three brothers-in-law, John Hembel, Harvey Strupp and Marvin Bonlender.

A Mass of Christian Burial was on Tuesday, Oct. 18, 2005 at Resurrection Catholic Church.

Father Richard Stoffel presided. Burial was on Wednesday, Oct. 19, 2005 in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Visitation at the church was on Tuesday, Oct. 18, 2005. Masses or memorials are appreciated.

Schmidt Funeral Home in West Bend assisted the family.
