June Harriet Priestaf
A life devoted to reflecting Christís love ended on Tuesday, Oct. 18, 2005. June Harriet Priestaf (nee Thomas) passed away on Tuesday afternoon surrounded by her family and the caring staff at SynergyHealth St. Josephís Hospital.
June was born on June 9, 1925 in Escanaba, Mich. to Henry and Lillian (nee Neubecker) Thomas, and was raised in Clinton, Iowa.
She attended Elmhurst College and graduated with a B.S. degree in chemistry and biology.
After graduation, June worked for Bellin Hospital in Green Bay until her marriage to the late Rev. Donald F. Priestaf.
She raised the family and assisted her husband in his church duties.
The couple retired in Montello and were very active in their community.
After Donald passed away, June moved to West Bend and for the past three years, was a resident of Cedar Community.
She was a member of Eastern Star, Rotary Annís and St. Johnís UCC of Slinger.
Survivors include her children, Brian (Pamela) of Theresa, Mark (Tamia) of Franklin and Tammy (Michael) Cannon of Kaukauna.
She is further survived by seven grandchildren; a brother, Richard (Elda) Thomas of Green Bay; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Donald; an infant son, Paul Thomas and a brother Ted.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, Oct. 23 at 4 p.m. at the Phillip Funeral Home Chapel of West Bend.
Dr. Ardyth K. Johnson will officiate, and cemation was at Paradise Cremation Services.
Visitation will be at the funeral home on Sunday from 2 p.m. until time of service.
Memorials are appreciated to the music department of Faith Community Church or Cedar Springs Church.
