Denise M. DeLong

Denise M. DeLong, 34, of West Bend passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 19, 2005 at SynergyHealth St. Joseph’s Hospital, town of Polk.

She was born June 25, 1971 in Hartford to Robert and Diana (nee King) DeLong.

Denise graduated from Hartford High School and worked at The Threshold in West Bend.

She had a strong desire to live no matter how much pain she was in with her cerebral palsy.

Denise had a wonderful warm smile for everyone she met and loved music and shopping.

She attended the Kingdom Halls of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Hartford and West Bend.

Denise was a hero to her family.

Survivors include her parents, Diana (David) Kwitek of Hartford and Robert (Christine) DeLong of Slinger; two sisters, Dawn (Steve) Kohler of Rubicon and Desiree (Todd) Corey of Neshkoro; a brother, David (Suzanne) DeLong of Slinger; a stepbrother, John Kwitek of Hustisford; two stepsisters, Rachel Lynch of Hartford and Ann Meller of West Bend; nieces and nephews, Joshua and Jacob Kohler, David, Matthew, Daniel and Adam DeLong, Crystal and Cassi Corey.

Denise is further survived by other relatives and friends.

Preceding her in death were a brother, Daniel DeLong, and her maternal and paternal grandparents.

Services will be held Saturday, Oct. 22 at 2 p.m. at the Shimon Funeral Home, Hartford, with a talk given by Dennis Gliss officiating.

The family will greet relatives and friends at the funeral home on Saturday from noon until 2 p.m

Interment will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Hartford.
