Margie Schmidt, nee Weninger, 68, of West Bend was born into eternal life on Thursday, Oct. 20, 2005.
She was born Aug. 7, 1937 in Hartford, the daughter of the late Roman and Agnes Weninger, and was united in marriage to Clarence Schmidt at St. Lawrence on July 12, 1958.
Margie was best known for her kindness and compassion.
She loved to be outdoors, walking and gardening, and also loved dancing, telling jokes and entertaining family and friends.
Margie was a member of St. Michaelís Choir.
Survivors include her husband of 47 years, Clarence; seven children, Sue (Jim) Jessen, Gerry (April) Schmidt, Tom Schmidt, Rose (Greg) Nelson, Bonnie Schmidt, Jim (Denise) Schmidt and Tony Schmidt; a brother, Jack Weninger; three sisters, Shirley Bacon, Mary Bozo and Sally Retzlaff; 12 grandchildren; a great-grandchild; other relatives and many friends.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Roman and Agnes Weninger, and a brother, Roman Weninger Jr.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, Oct. 24 at 7 p.m. at St. Michaelís Catholic Church, St. Michaels.
Father Robert J. Artmann will officiate, and burial will be Tuesday at 10 a.m. in St. Michaelís Cemetery.
Visitation at the church only will be Monday from 4 until 7 p.m.
The Phillip Funeral Home, West Bend, is assisting the family.
