Harold H. "Mike" Prahl

Harold H. "Mike" Prahl, 82, of the town of Trenton, was welcomed home by his Lord on Monday, Oct. 24, 2005, surrounded by his loving family at St. Lukeís Medical Center of Milwaukee.

Mike was born June 4, 1923 to Arthur and Lydia (nee Stauss) Prahl in Mequon. He was raised in Jackson and graduated from West Bend High School.

Mike married the love of his life and his best friend, Arvilla H. Pipkorn, on Aug. 24, 1946 at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Friestadt.

After marriage, the couple lived in the Washington County area, residing in the town of Trenton since 1963.

Mike was a dedicated manager of Boehlke Bottled Gas Co. of Cedarburg for over 39 honorable years, retiring in 1988.

He was a member of St. Johnís Evangelical Lutheran Church of Newburg where he was also a past council member.

Among his favorite pastimes, Mike loved woodworking and lawn care projects.

He will be deeply missed and forever in the hearts of his beloved wife and best friend, Arvilla; his cherished children, Larry and Linda Prahl of the town of Trenton, Jerry and Barb Prahl of Newburg, Ken and Linda Prahl of the town of Trenton, and Cindy and Jim Moser of the town of Farmington; his treasured grandchildren, Sara, Nicola (Emilio) DeTorre, Rebecca, Heather, Ryan, Stacy (Paul) Grulke, Michael and Mark; and six loving great-grandchildren.

Mike will also by missed by nieces, nephews, other special relatives and many dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Eleanor Kluever.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Oct. 27 at 7 p.m. at St. Johnís Evangelical Lutheran Church, 621 Division, Newburg, with Pastor Jon Baumann officiating.

Visitation with family and friends will be held at the church only on Thursday from 4 p.m. until the time of the service at 7 p.m.

Interment will take place at 10 a.m. on Friday in Washington County Memorial Park of West Bend.

The Phillip Funeral Home of West Bend is assisting the family.
