Theodore "Ted" H. Meyer
Funeral services were held on Oct. 22 at the Concordia United Methodist Church in Prairie du Sac for Theodore "Ted" H. Meyer of Prairie du Sac (formerly of Cedarburg), who died at the age of 85 on Wednesday, Oct. 19, 2005 at Bluffview Meadows Assisted Living in North Freedom. The Rev. Carol Quinn and the Rev. Regi Licht officiated the funeral service. The family received friends on Oct. 21 and Oct. 22 at the church and interment took place in the Sauk Prairie Cemetery in Prairie du Sac. The Hoof Funeral Home in Reedsburg assisted the family with arrangements.
Ted was born on March 18, 1920 in Fond du Lac, son of the late Walter and Hertha (nee Wegner) Meyer. He graduated from Cedarburg High School in 1937. He was also a graduate of the Milwaukee School of Engineering. A veteran, Ted was stationed in Guam during World War II where he served with the U.S. Navy. On April 13, 1963, he married the former Mariene C. Kindschi. Ted enjoyed boating, motorcycles and working with wood.
Ted is survived by his wife Marlene; children Ted C. (Carol) Meyer of Saukville, Mary Meyer of Marinette, Robert (Shirley) Meyer of DePere and Kim (Peter) Shrake of Baraboo; grandsons Peter Meyer and Ethan Shrake; sister Dorothy von Trott of Cedarburg; brother Norman (Carol) Meyer of Crandon; other relatives and friends.
