Harold "Mike" H. Prahl
Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. today at St. Johnís Evangelical Lutheran Church in Newburg for Harold "Mike" H. Prahl of the town of Trenton, who was welcomed home by his Lord on Monday, Oct. 24, 2005 surrounded by his loving family at St. Lukeís Medical Center in Milwaukee, at the age of 82. The Rev. Jon Baumann will officiate the service. Visitation with family and friends will also be held today at the church from 4 p.m. until the funeral service. Interment will take place at 10 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 28 at Washington County Memorial Park of West Bend. The Phillip Funeral Home of West Bend is assisting the family with arrangements.
Mike was born in Mequon on June 4, 1923 to Arthur and Lydia (nee Stauss) Prahl. He was raised in the village of Jackson, and graduated from West Bend High School. He married the love of his life and his best friend, Arvilla H. Pipkorn, on Aug. 24, 1946 at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Freistadt. After marriage, the couple lived in Washington County and since 1963, resided in the town of Trenton.
Mike was a dedicated manager of the Boehlke Bottled Gas Company of Cedarburg for over 39 honorable years before he retired in 1988. He was a member of St. Johnís Evangelical Lutheran Church in Newburg, where he also served as a council member. Among his favorite pastimes, Mike loved woodworking and lawn care projects.
Mike will be deeply missed and forever in the hearts of his beloved wife and best friend Arvilla H. Prahl (nee Pipkorn); his cherished children Larry and Linda Prahl of the town of Trenton, Jerry and Barb Prahl of Newburg, Ken and Linda Prahl of the town of Trenton, and Cindy and Jim Moser of the town of Farmington; his treasured grandchildren Sara, Nicola (Emilio) DeTorre, Rebecca, Heather, Ryan, Stacy (Paul) Grulke, Michael and Mark; and six loving great-grandchildren. He will also be missed by nieces, nephews, other special relatives and many dear friends.
Mike was preceded in death by his parents and sister Eleanor Kluever.
