Antoinette "Ann" Dickmann

A celebration of the life of Antoinette "Ann" Dickmann (nee Dollert) will take place at 4 p.m. on Oct. 28 at St. Peterís United Church of Christ (UCC) in Saukville. Ann passed away peacefully at the age of 87 on Monday, Oct. 24, 2005 after suffering a stroke on the previous Friday. Private graveside services were held for the family at Union Cemetery in Saukville. Mueller Funeral Home in Cedarburg is assisting the family with arrangements.

Ann was born on Jan. 1, 1918 to Edwin and Esther (nee Zuelsdorf) Dollert in the town of Saukville, where she lived most of her life. On June 9, 1945 she married Alvin Dickmann at St. Peterís Evangelical and Reformed Church in Saukville.

After her husband Alvin died on Nov. 19, 1981, Ann spent many years working on the farm helping her son Mark. She raised the family while providing endless meals that always ended with her many desserts. No one dared to leave her kitchen without a cup of coffee and a large piece of homemade dessert.

Ann was a lifetime member of St Peterís UCC in Saukville; a member of Womenís Guild at the church and a lifetime member of the Ozaukee County Farm Bureau.

Ann is survived by her sons Dennis (Faye) of Conroe, Texas, Mark (Sandy) of Saukville and Terry (Deanna) of Grafton; daughter Debra (John) Goll of Jackson; sister Adeline Schmidt; and brother Edwin (La Verne) Dollert. She is further survived by nine grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent or given to St. Peterís UCC Memorial Fund in Saukville.
