Arthur G. "Art" Wolf
Arthur G. "Art" Wolf, 63, of West Bend, was taken home by his Lord on Thursday, Oct. 27, 2005 at Cedar Lake Health Care Center.
Art was born Nov. 17, 1941 to Herbert and Luciana (nee Simon) Wolf in West Bend, where he was also raised. He graduated from West Bend High School in 1960.
Art honorably served his country with the United States Army during the Vietnam Era.
He married the love of his life and his best friend, Jo Ann E. Langenecker on Oct. 22, 1966 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church.
After marriage, the couple resided in West Bend, where they raised a family of their own.
Art was a dedicated employee of the West Bend Co. for over 19 years, retiring in 1986.
He was a member of Holy Angels Catholic Church and the Lt. Ray Dickop Post 36 American Legion of West Bend.
Among his favorite pastimes, Art loved to play cards, work in the yard, and he was an avid Green Bay Packers fan.
Far above the rest, spending quality time laughing with and enjoying his grandchildren and family was most important to Art.
The love and adoration of Art will forever hold strong in the hearts of his beloved wife and best friend of 39 years, Jo Ann of West Bend; his cherished children, Christine (William) Flasch of St. Kilian, Michael (Gina) Wolf of Waukegan, Ill. and Daniel (Kristine) Wolf of West Bend; and treasured grandchildren, Kyle, Anastasia and Chad Flasch, and Derrick Wolf.
Art will also be deeply missed by his siblings, Marvin (Evelyn) Wolf of West Bend, Harold (Mary Manning) Wolf of Madison, Simon (Clara) Wolf of Lomira and Herbert (Jenny) Wolf of West Bend; and on Jo Annís side, Mary (Alan) Bogenschneider of May-ville, Charles (Darlene) Langen-ecker of Hartford, Kay Walbrink of Chicago and Ruth (Jim) Bowden of Bartlett, Tenn.; nieces; nephew; other special relatives and many dear friends.
Art is preceded in death by his parents, his sister and brother-in-law, Adeline (Ken) Lemke and his parents-in-law, Norbert and Anita Langenecker.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, Oct. 31, at 11 a.m. at Holy Angels Catholic Church, 138 N. Eighth Ave., West Bend, with Father Gerald Brittain officiating.
Visitation with family and friends will be held at the Phillip Funeral Home, 1420 W. paradise Drive, West Bend, on Sunday from 1 p.m. until the time of a prayer vigil at 3 p.m., with a continued visitation on Monday at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of the Mass at 11 a.m.
Interment will take place at Washington County Memorial Park of West Bend following Mass on Monday.
