Victor A. "Vic" Maeder

Victor A. "Vic" Maeder, 80, of West Bend, was welcomed home by his Lord on Wednesday, Oct. 26, 2005 at Community Memorial Hospital of Menomonee Falls surrounded by his loving family.

Vic was born March 12, 1925 to Oswald and Dorothy (nee Rowe) Maeder in Sheboygan. His family later moved to West Bend, where he spent his childhood.

He honorably served his country in the United States Navy during World War II.

Victor married the love of his life and best friend, Frances M. Kearley, on June 25, 1946 in Milwaukee.

After marriage the couple remained in the West Bend area where they raised a family of their own.

He was a dedicated employee of the Gehl Co. of West Bend as a tool and die maker for 42 years, retiring in 1989.

Vic was a member of St. Johnís Evangelical Lutheran Church of West Bend and the 25-Year Hexelbank Club.

Victor will be deeply missed by and reside forever in the hearts of his beloved wife and best friend of 59 years, Frances; his cherished children, Michael (Mary) Maeder of West Bend, Dr. Linda Maeder, D.D.S. (friend, Diane Fisher) of Los Angeles, Dan (Mary Ann) Maeder of Fond du Lac, Sandy (Robert) Meyer of West Bend, Scott Maeder of West Bend and Tami (friend, Matt Repinski) of West Bend; his treasured grandchildren, Laura (Rafael) Vela, Aaron Maeder, Brad (Ann) Maeder, Joel (Selena) Maeder, Nicki (Jim) Hall, Heath (fiancee, Jodi) Maeder, Missy (Nick) Mueller, Andy Sawyer and Eric Sawyer; and 13 great-grandchildren.

He will also be missed by his siblings, Alice Kohlman of West Bend, Susanne (Rich) Teschen-dorf of Kewaskum, Lucille Koenig of Florida and Clifford (Rosemarie) Maeder of West Bend; many nieces, nephews, other special relatives and dear friends.

Vic is preceded in death by his parents, Oswald and Dorothy.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Oct. 29, at 1 p.m. at the Phillip Funeral Home Chapel, 1420 W. Paradise Drive, West Bend, with Rev. George Mumm officiating.

Visitation with family and friends will be held at the funeral home on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at 1 p.m.

Interment will take place at Washington County Memorial Park of West Bend following the service on Saturday.
