Louise was born on July 14, 1916 in Cedarburg to Richard and Leona (Kuether) Pflittner. She married Arthur (Babe) Friess in 1940 and they were happily married for 65 years prior to Babeís death in October of 2005. A lifelong resident of Cedarburg, Louise was active in many local activities. She was an avid bowler for many years at Cedars Lanes in Cedarburg, played a "mean" shortstop for Mae Pumpís Top of the Town Softball team where she acquired her nickname "the bowlegged shortstop" and enjoyed her weekly Sheepshead card club night with the girls as well as many other interests.
Louise was employed at the National T Food Store chain, worked at Jermaineís Clothing Store in downtown Cedarburg and drove local special needs and disabled children to school in Milwaukee for Marquardt Bus Company.
She loved and generously gave of her time to babysit for her numerous grandchildren. Louise seldom missed their sport competitions and school functions and took pride sharing in their many accomplishments. This wonderful lady will live on for many years to come in her children and grandchildrenís fond memories.
Louise will be fondly remembered by her children, Mary (John) Susen and Jack (Karen) Friess; her seven grandchildren, Lisa, Jodi, Andy, Sara, Billy, Cari and Danny; and her nine great-grandchildren, Bailey, Jered, Carter, Savana, Myles, Marcus, Bryce, Mason and Lucy. She is further survived by two sisters, Ann Hennings and Betty (Harry) Hancock; and sister-in-law Alice Friess, along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
