Darrel H. Nimtz
Darrel H. Nimtz, 62, of Campbellsport, died on Thursday, April 6, 2006 at Kathy Hospice, West Bend, after a long battle with cancer.
He was born Feb. 29, 1944, the son of Herbert and Helen (Guftason) Nimtz, and on Aug. 27, 1966 he married Mary A. Selsing in West Bend.
Darrel worked as a plumber for many years and later as a building inspector until his illness.
He was an active member of the Campbellsport Athletic As-sociation, serving as president for a number of years and as a longtime coach.
Darrel also enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening, but he especially loved spending time with his grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife, Mary; his mother, Helen of West Bend; his son, Jason of Pensacola, Fla.; his mother-in-law, Anne Selsing of Hartford; his daughters, Jennifer (Brent) Edlin of Boyceville, Kerry (Ryan) Brath of Racine and Kelly (Michael) Rusch of Mapleton, Ill.; his grandchildren, Lily, Eryn, Michael, Kath-ryn, Meghan, Alexa and Payton; and his sisters, Darlene (Richard) Hanneman of Loveland, Colo. and Judith (Robert) Page of Las Cruces, N.M.
Preceding him in death was his father.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, April 10 at 7 p.m. at the Twohig Funeral Home, Campbellsport, with Rev. Mark Jones officiating.
Visitation at the funeral home will be on Monday from 4 p.m. until the time of the service.
