Steven R. Swanson

Steven R. Swanson, 38, beloved husband of Amy E. (nee Fine) Swanson; proud and loving father of Alex T. , Ethan R. and Madeline E. Swanson, all at home; and beloved dog, Kanga Pie, passed away Wednesday, April 5, 2006 due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

Steve will be deeply missed by all those who knew him, especially his family.

Being a father meant so much to Steve and he created many wonderful memories for his children. He is a gift that they will always have in their heart.

He was also a sports fanatic and passed that love on to his two boys.

His daughter was the sparkle in his eye and he enjoyed watching her dance.

Steve is also survived by his parents, Rosemary and Tom Swanson of Menomonee Falls; a sister, Christine Swanson (Joe Fleury) of West Allis; a brother, David Swanson (Nikki Seaman) of Boulder, Colo.; parents-in-law, Harry and Micki Fine of West Bend; a sister-in-law, Peggy Berryman (Pat) of Gurnee, Ill.; and a brother-in-law, Gunnar Lein (Melissa).

He is also survived by many nephews, nieces, close cousins, other special relatives and dear friends.

Steve was a 1985 graduate of Menomonee Falls High School and a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.

At the time of his death, Steve was a resource manager for Manpower International. His job meant so much to him and he truly loved the people he worked with.

Our hearts are full of memories and we will miss Steve everyday.

A funeral service to honor Steve will be held on Sunday, April 9, at Northbrook Church, 4014 Highway 167 W., Richfield, at 3 p.m., with Pastor Bob Robinson officiating.

A private, family service will be held from 1-1:30 p.m., with public visitation starting at 1:30 p.m. and continuing until the time of the funeral service at 3 p.m., at the church only.

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate memorials made out to them in order to establish their children’s college fund.
