Elnore A. Okruhlica

Elnore A. Okruhlica, nee Hillmann, 86, of Jackson, found eternal peace on Monday, April 10, 2006 at Cedar Lake Health Care Center while surrounded by her loving family, after a courageous battle with brain cancer.

Elnore was born March 12, 1920 to Frederick and Selma (nee Liesener) Hillmann. She was born on the Hillmann Homestead, which was established in the 1840s, where she was raised and continued to farm her entire life.

On July 25, 1942 in Butler, Elnore dedicated her love and her life to Alois J. Okruhlica. Togeth-er the couple began a beautiful family, raising three wonderful children.

Alois preceded Elnore in death on Aug. 17, 1999.

Throughout her married life, her favorite pastime was devoting her energy, time and love to her children, and later her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She also enjoyed spending time in her gardens, playing cards and spending time with her dear friends.

To Elnore, at the moment of becoming her friend you were going to be her friend for a lifetime. When her friends would get sick or were hurting, she would volunteer her time nursing them back into good health and spirits.

"We will definitely miss our mom whom held a special place in our hearts. She was truly loved."

Elnore has deeply touched the lives and hearts of her adored children, Kathleen (Donald) McLellan of Chippewa Falls, Thomas (Jean) Okruhlica of Jackson and Lynn (Michael) Ballbach of West Bend; her dear grandchildren, Robert McLellan, Lori (Dennis) Parmenter, Kim (Tony) Locknane, Kelly McLellan, Michelle (Jeremy) Przybyla, Kristin Okruhlica, Jeffrey Okruhlica, Justin Okruhlica, Amy (Todd) Hagenow, Andrew Ballbach and Adam Ballbach; and her great-grandchildren, Chloe, Payton, Kylie and Allison.

She will also be greatly missed by her sisters, Mildred Fendrick of Waukesha and Lorraine Bub-litz of Cedarburg; nieces; nep-hews; other special relatives and many dear friends.

She was greeted at the gates of heaven by her parents; her husband; one brother, LeRoy Hillmann; her granddaughter, Jayne McLellan; and two brothers-in-law, Paul Fendrick and Edgar Bublitz.

A funeral service honoring Elnore will be held on Saturday, April 15, at 11 a.m. at Davidís Star Evangelical Lutheran Church, 2740 Davids Star Drive, Jackson, with Rev. Michael Woldt officiating.

Interment will follow the funeral service in Mill Church Cemetery.

Visitation with family and friends will be held at the church only on Saturday from 9 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11 a.m.
