E. Lorraine Dusenbery
A memorial service will be held at 11:30 a.m. today at at Our Saviorís Lutheran Church, 1044 S. Silverbrook Drive, West Bend, for E. Lorraine Dusenbery (Halverson) of West Bend, who entered into eternal peace on Thursday, April 6, 2006 at Kathy Hospice, at the age of 88. The Rev. Oscar Kraft will officiate. A gathering of family and friends will be held today from 11 a.m. until the time of the service at the church only. Entombment will take place at Washington County Memorial Park prior to services. The Phillip Funeral Home of West Bend is assisting the family.
Lorraine was born on March 13, 1918 to Lewie and Anna (nee Christianson) Halverson in Elderon. Her family remained in the area during her childhood, and she graduated from Elderon and Wittenberg schools. Lorraine was introduced to Jay R. Dusenbery, and on Oct. 7, 1942, the couple devoted their lives and love to one another in San Francisco, Calif. She was a former member of St. Johnís Lutheran Church in Port Washington and St. Paul Lutheran Church in Grafton, and was a present member of Our Saviorís Lutheran Church in West Bend. Lorraine was also a past member of Wisconsin Regional Writers and former member of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Ozaukee County.
She will be deeply missed and remain in the hearts of her children, Dennis Dusenbery of Albuquerque, N.M., Richard "Rick" Dusenbery of West Bend and Jean (Steve) Williams of Grand Marais, Minn.; and her cherished grandchildren, Geoff, Tim, and Jill Dusenbery, and Sarah, Erin, and Kimberly Williams. Lorraine will also be missed by her very special cousins, other relatives, and many dear friends. Reuniting with Lorraine at the gates of Heaven are her parents, her beloved husband, Jay; her brother, Glenn; and two sisters, Arleen and Sylvia.

The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation and gratitude for the wonderful care and compassion that was offered to Lorraine by the staff at Kathy Hospice.
