Elmer E. Wren

Elmer E. Wren, 96, of West Bend, passed away Sunday, April 16, 2006 at SynergyHealth St. Josephís Hospital in the town of Polk.

He was born on Oct. 8, 1909 in Neillsville to the late Thomas and Amy (nee King) Wren, and married Shirley Graff on Aug. 9, 1990 in West Bend.

Elmer was employed at Bend Industries for many years, and he also worked for the railroad performing engine maintenance.

He retired in 1975.

Elmer was a member of the West Bend Moose Lodge 1398.

Survivors include his wife, Shirley; four stepchildren, Edgar Krause Jr., Gerald (Kathleen) Krause, Charles (Diane) Krause and Joanne (Albert) Sunn Jr.; a granddaughter, Cindy (Dennis) Gerriettes; a great-granddaughter, Danielle Gerriettes; other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by a stepson, Frederick Krause.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 19 at 7 p.m. at the Myrhum-Patten Funeral Home, West Bend.

Rev. Victor Hackbarth will officiate and burial will be in Washington County Memorial Park, West Bend, on Thursday.

Visitation will be at the funeral home Wednesday from 5 p.m. until the time of service.
