Gerald Hetzel, 63, of the town of Hartford passed away on Saturday, April 15, 2006 at his home with his family at his side.
He was born May 29, 1942 in Port Washington to Harvey and Loretta (nee Stahl) Hetzel, and married Judy Janz on Aug. 28, 1965 at St. Mary Lake Church in Belgium, Wis.
Gerald was a member of St. Kilian Church and the Knights of Columbus.
He worked at Harley-Davidson for over 32 years as an experimental engineer mechanic.
Gerald also farmed the family farm at the same time, raising young stock and crops.
He enjoyed riding his Harley and traveling around the country in his RV.
Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Judy; his five children; Calvin (Michele) of Sun Prairie, Scot and Mark, both of Hartford, Pamela (Steve) Camarato of De Forest and Jennifer Hetzel of Kenosha; five grandchildren, Katie, Erica, Matthew, Jessica and Anthony; a brother, Jerome (Janet) Hetzel of Sheboygan; two sisters, Shirley Fogl of Brookfield and Marilyn (Fred) Erickson of Sturgeon Bay.
He is further survived by brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, other relatives and special friends.
Gerald was preceded in death by his parents; a brother-in-law, Richard Fogl; and an infant sister, Mary.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Gerald will be held on Saturday, April 22, at 10 a.m. at St. Kilian Catholic Church in Hartford with Father Mike Petrie officiating.
Family will greet relatives and friends at the funeral home on Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. with a prayer vigil at 7 p.m., and at the church on Saturday from 9 to 10 a.m.
Interment will be in Washing-ton County Memorial Park, West Bend.
