Burnetta Y. Hilgen

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at St. Francis Borgia North Catholic Church for Burnetta Y. Hilgen, who died on April 18, 2006 at the age of 81. Visitation will be held on Friday at the church, from noon until the time of service. The Rev. Tom Eichenberger will officiate the funeral mass.

Burnetta Cave was born on Jan. 8, 1925 in Iowa to the late Alfred and the late Freida (nee Martens) Cave. She later married the late James Bach and their marriage was blessed with two children, Robert and Barbara. After James passed away in 1977, Burnetta married the late Frederick J. Hilgen.

Burnetta was a longtime member at St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church and served as a board member for the Frederick J. Hilgen Foundation. This foundation was set up to assist with scholarships for Cedarburg High School students.

Burnetta is survived by her children, Robert (Colleen) Bach of Saukville and Barbara (Jim) Janke of Cedarburg; grandchildren Nicholas Jung of Dallas, James Bach of Saukville and Rebecca Bach of Saukville; and special friend Ed Skroch of Milwaukee. She is further survived by other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husbands, James Bach and Frederick J. Hilgen.
