Evelyn M. Reason

Evelyn M. Reason, nee Koehler, 83, of Hartford passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday Aug. 1, 2006 at her residence.

She was born on Feb. 9, 1923 in Jefferson to Joseph and Theresa (nee Threscher) Koehler, and married Clifford Reason on Sept. 30, 1947 at St. Johnís Catholic Church in Jefferson.

She was a member of St. Kilian Catholic Church and a member of the Daughters of Isabella.

Evelyn was an active member of Hartford Senior Friends and its writing and painting groups.

She enjoyed crafts and needlepoint. She had just submitted many items in the Washington County Fair and won blue ribbons for her work.

She especially loved playing games and cards with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her children, Carol (Richard) Banks of Menomonie, Clare (Leo) Kohl-mannReason of New Mexico, James (Connie) Reason of Hart-ford, Margaret (Durand) Boet-tiger of Hartford, Theresa (fiancé Chad Nickerson) of Germantown; six grandchildren, Mark, Mat-thew, Christopher, Bryce, Caden and Kyra; six step-grandchildren; step-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Cecelia Johnson of Water-town and Cornelia Koehler of Jefferson; two brothers, Raymond (Marion) Koehler of Watertown and Clarence Koehler of Jeffer-son; and two sisters-in-law, Lor-raine Koehler of Watertown and Jean Koehler of Downers Grove, Ill.

She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Preceding her in death were her husband, Clifford; a daughter, Linda; six brothers; and a sister.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, Aug. 4 at 6 p.m. at St. Kilianís Catholic Church, Hartford with Father David LaPlante officiating.

Interment St. Kilian Cemetery, Hartford.

Family will greet relatives and friends at the church only on Friday from 4 to 6 p.m.

Memorials to St. Kilianís Church appreciated.
