Donald L. "Don" Hostetter

Donald L. "Don" Hostetter, 63, of Cedarburg, passed away on Sunday, Aug. 6, 2006.

Don was born on July 2, 1943 to Donald L. and Harriet E. (nee Gilson) Hostetter in Chicago, where he was also raised.

After school, Don entered into the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam era.

When he returned home, he married Diane L. Pagen-kop on March 30, 1968 in Des Plaines, Ill. After marriage, the couple began a loving family of their own.

Don was a dedicated employee of the heating and air conditioning industry.

In 1974, they moved to Wisconsin, and Don began working for Bergon and Associates. In 1982, he assisted with forming Cliff Bergon and Associates.

Don enjoyed fishing, woodworking, training dogs, gardening, boating, traveling and going out for dinner and to the movies.

He was a member of the Peter Wollner Post 288 American Legion of Cedarburg.

Don has forever touched the hearts and lives of his beloved wife, Diane; his cherished children, Lori (Jim) Stauske of Cedarburg, Kari (Steve) Holland of Cedarburg and Kristi Hostetter of Jackson; his treasured grandchildren, Ryan, Kevin, Kayla, Jenna, Sarah and Kyle; his dear mother, Elizabeth Hostetter of Palos Park, Ill.; three dear sisters, Carol (Tom) Creech of Palos Park, Diane (Jim) Endebak of Homer Glen, Ill. and Janet (Art) Wilhelmsen of Mokena; his beloved companion, his dog Sadie; and his mother-in-law, Violet Patsch of Cedarburg.

Don is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other special relatives and many dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Donald L. Hostetter; and his father-in-law, Richard Pagenkop.

A memorial service to honor Don will be held on Thursday, Aug. 10, at 7 p.m. at St. Paulís Lutheran Church, 701 Washing-ton, Grafton, with Pastor Kenton Wendorf officiating.

Cremation will take place at Paradise Cremation Services of West Bend.

Visitation with family and friends will be held on Thursday from 5 p.m. until the time of the memorial service at 7 p.m.
