Pearl D. Roecker

Pearl D. Roecker, 84, of Allenton passed away Tuesday, Aug. 8, 2006.

She was born Jan. 28, 1922 in Hustisford, the daughter of Glen and Delilla ( nee Thomas) Ryder.

When Pearl was a young girl she played the concertina in a family band in Dodge County. She also embroidered items and entered them in the Dodge County Fair.

Pearl loved being outdoors and working in her vegetable and flower gardens.

She grew up on the family farm in the Hustisford area and after she married Daniel Roecker June 23, 1956, she continued to farm with Daniel in the Allenton area.

Pearl loved to bake and cook and she would say "from scratch."

Polka music was her favorite and she loved to dance to it. Her favorite radio station was Hart-fordís WTKM.

Survivors include her children, Cindy (George) Eggert of Kewaskum, Sandy (T.J.) Bartzen of Kenosha and Keith (Nancy) Roecker of Allenton; her grandchildren, Jason, Michael, Kevin, Adam and Michelle; her brother, Gilbert (Hazel) Ryder of Lake Mills; her sisters, LaVone (Mar-tin) Grosenick of Watertown, Goldie Hintz of Milwaukee and Magdalene Uhlman of Lake Mills; her sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Laura Roecker of Slinger, Lucile Roecker of Hartford, Anita Hildebrandt of Lake Mills, Lorraine (Roger) Roecker of Allenton and Mary (Otto) Roecker of Watertown.

Also surviving are nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

Pearl is preceded in death by her husband Daniel in 1994; her brother, Al Ryder; and her in-laws, Nordean Uhlman, Franklin Roecker, Reuben Roecker, Gordon (Gladys) Roecker, Burton Roecker and Lester Hildebrandt.

Visitation will be Friday, Aug. 11 at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 630 Highway 33, from 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.

The funeral service will follow at 12:30 p.m.

Rev. Kenneth Bittorf will officiate, and interment will be in Emmanuel Lutheran Church Cemetery.
