Violet A. Biertzer

Violet A. Biertzer (nee Crass), 87, of Barton, passed away Sun-day, Aug. 13, 2006 at Synergy-Health St. Joseph’s Hospital in the town of Polk.

She was born Sept. 27, 1918 in Fillmore to the late Leonard and Louise (nee Chesak) Crass, and was united in marriage to John H. Biertzer in Jan-uary 1934.

Violet worked at the West Bend Co. for many years until retiring in 1980. She was a member of St. Mary’s Immaculate Conception Parish, the West Bend Co. 25-year club, and the Young at Heart Club.

Violet was currently residing at Hope Health and Rehabilitation Center in Lomira.

She is survived by four children, Dennis (Bev) Biertzer of Arbor Vita, Dawn (Tom) Rinzel of West Bend, Mary Ann (Jack) Rose of West Bend and Mark (special friend Cindy Tucek) Biertzer of West Bend; 17 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; a sister June Rennicke of Thiensville; a sister-in-law, Harriet Biertzer of West Bend; other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Donna "Tootie" Scott; a son Robert Biertzer; a granddaughter Carla Biertzer; a great-grandson Todd Lehnartz; a sister Fern Kumrow; and three brothers, James Crass, Merle "Sonny" Crass, and Iver Crass.

Mass of Christian burial for Violet will be held at 7 p.m., Wednesday at St. Mary’s Immaculate Conception Parish. Rev. Michael Moran will be the celebrant.

Visitation will be Wednesday at the church only from 4 p.m. until the time of Mass.

Burial will be Thursday at 9:30 a.m. in Holy Angels Cemetery.
