Marlyn L. Erickson

Marlyn L. Erickson, 66, of Fond du Lac, formerly of West Bend, died Sunday, Aug. 13, 2006 at Agnesian Healthcare Hospice Home of Hope in Fond du Lac.

He was born June 5, 1940 in Tigerton to the late Raymond and Erna (nee McFarlane) Erickson.

As a child, the family moved to the Kewaskum area where they remained until moving to St. Kilian in the late 1950s. After high school, Marlyn served with the United States Army Reserve.

Following his marriage to Delores E. Menke June 20, 1964, the couple lived in West Bend before moving to the town of Wayne, where they lived for eight years.

The family then lived in Campbellsport for a short time until returning to West Bend.

For 15 years, he worked at the West Bend Co. He then became employed for the State of Wiscon-sin as a building custodian at the Wisconsin National Guard Ar-mory on Silver Spring Drive in Milwaukee.

Following his retirement in 2002, Marlyn and Delores moved to Fond du Lac.

He enjoyed attending tractor pulls, working on cars and fixing and maintaining various things.

He is survived by his wife, Delores; one daughter, Colleen (Jason) Yanke of Gleason; two grandchildren, Jonathan and Jor-dan Yanke; three brothers and two sisters, Ronald of West Bend, Shelby (Darrel) Hills of Fond du Lac, Cynthia Brueggeman of St. Cloud, Dennis (Mary) of Wood-ruff and Niles (Dorothy) of Green Bay; four brothers-in-law, Gordon (Louise) Menke of Fond du Lac, Norman (Ruth) Menke of West Bend, Norbert (Geri) Menke of Fond du Lac and Russell Menke of Willard; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by two children, Donna and Leland; and one brother, Gerald.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday at Trinity Lutheran Church in West Bend with Rev. David Schoob officiating.

Burial will follow in Washing-ton County Memorial Park.

Visitation will be at the Schmidt Funeral Home in West Bend Wednesday from 4 until 7 p.m. and also Thursday at the church only from 10 until 10:45 a.m.

The family has requested memorials to Agnesian Health-care Hospice Home of Hope in Fond du Lac.
