Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday at First Immanuel Lutheran Church (W67 N622 Evergreen Blvd.) in Cedarburg for Phoebe Scholz of Grafton. Phoebe died peacefully at her home on Sunday, Aug. 13, 2006 at the age of 73. Visitation will be held at the church on Wednesday, from 4 p.m. until the time of service. Mueller Funeral Home in Cedarburg assisted the family with arrangements.
Phoebe was born in Annamoose, N.D., on Jan. 16, 1933 to the late Reinard and Esther (nee Baese) Jagow. On June 20, 1953, she married Herman Scholz at St. Johnís Lutheran Church in Fredonia. Phoebe was a cook at Cedarburg High School for 20 years and a longtime active member of First Immanuel Lutheran Church.
Phoebe is survived by her husband Herman of Grafton; children the Rev. Michael (the late Patty) Scholz of River Falls, Connie Scholz of Madison, Jay (Joan) Scholz of Cedarburg and Tod (Beth) Scholz of Saukville; brothers the Rev. Fred (Lois) Jagow of Windsor, Calif., and Norman (Audrey) Jagow of Fredonia; sisters Concordia Mueller of Jennison, Mich., and Helen Jagow of West Bend; grandchildren Jay (Amanda) Linton of St. Louis, Mo., Terri Scholz of Rolla, Mo., Rachel and Amber Scholz of Cedarburg and Brian and Erin Scholz of Saukville; and great-grandchildren Tyler Linton and Hanna Scholz. She is further survived by other relatives and friends.
