Lawrence "Flicky" Wickert Jr.

Lawrence "Flicky" Wickert Jr., 65, of West Bend, passed away on Saturday, Aug. 26, 2006 at Kathy’s Hospice of West Bend.

He was born on July 31, 1941 in Barton, to the late Law-rence and Ann Wickert (nee Plischounig), and was united in marriage to Nancy Fickler on Aug. 6, 1960 in Kewaskum.

Flicky barbered for 44 years, first, in Barton with his father, then in Myra and finally, in Newburg.

He also ran Flicky’s Charcoal Pit in Myra for seven years.

Survivors include his wife, Nancy; two sons, Lawrence III "Chip" of Milwaukee and Lon of Charlotte, N.C; three daughters, Lori (Tim) Perkins of Milwaukee, Lynn (Steve) Weston of West Bend and Lisa (Pat) Vokoun of Jackson; and eight grandchildren, Kyle, Kari, Jake, Nick, Amanda, Ali, Ryan and Alex.

He is also survived by a brother, Jim (Janice) Wickert of Lake Havasu, Ariz.; a sister, Mary (John) Tessar of Kewaskum; two aunts, Olga Schley and Betty Plischounig; and a sister-in-law, Colleen (Steve) Bradford of Bolingbrook, Ill.

He is further survived by many nieces, nephews and very dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A celebration of life will be held Wednesday, Aug. 30, at 7 p.m. at The Phillip Funeral Home of West Bend, 1420 W. Paradise Drive, with Pastor David Schoob officiating.

Interment will take place at Washington County Memorial Park, West Bend.

Visitation with family and friends will be at the funeral home on Wednesday only from 4 p.m. until the time of the service at 7 p.m.
