Theodore "Ted" Ripple
Theodore "Ted" Ripple, 72, born to eternal life while surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, Aug. 27, 2006, after a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer.
He was born to Theodore and Lillian (nee Grzywacz) on April 6, 1934.
Ted retired after 31 years of honorable service with the Milwaukee Police Department as an officer and detective.
He was a member of the Forty Tribunes.
Ted always had a green thumb and loved gardening with Ginni, including belonging to the Master Gardeners Association.
He loved nature and enjoyed teaching his children and grandchildren to appreciate it just as much.
Ted will be deeply missed and fondly remembered as a loving and adoring husband for 51 beautiful years to Virginia (nee Miotke); devoted and caring father of Sue (Rick) Gordon, Patrice (John) Brusk, Thomas (Cathy) Ripple and Katie (Bruce) Schmidt; tender and loving grandpa of Lisa, Steven, Richard (Amy), Bernie, Jenny, Laura, Kristina, Kristin (Chad) Rydzik and Andrea; adored great-grandpa of Bricelyn "Little Pooper" Rydzik; treasured brother of Marilyn (Pete) De Vaney and brother-in-law, Robert (Char) Miotke.
He is further survived by many other loving relatives and cherished friends.
Waiting to welcome him home into heaven are his parents, a brother, William, and a granddaughter, Stephanie Schmidt.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in honor of Ted on Wednesday, Aug. 30, at 7 p.m. at St. Peterís Catholic Church, 202 E. Washington St., Slinger.
Interment will take place on Thursday at noon at Holy Cross Cemetery, 7301 W. Nash, Milwau-kee (meet at the office 11:45 a.m.).
Visitation with family and friends will be at the church on Wednesday only from 4 p.m. until the time of Mass at 7 p.m.
The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation for memorials that are offered in lieu of flowers, to the St. Peterís Catholic Church Endowment Fund or to Cancer Research of Southeastern Wisconsin.
