Beverly A. Meilinger

Mrs. Beverly A. Meilinger, 67, of Waupaca, formerly of West Bend, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 2, 2006 at her residence after a courageous, 21-year battle, with cancer.

Beverly was born in Barton, on Jan. 9, 1939, the daughter of the late J. Vincent and Laura Kircher.

In 1952 she graduated from St. Mary’s School in the village of Barton and graduated from West Bend High School in 1956.

On Oct 3, 1959 Bev married Carl J. Meilinger at Immaculate Conception Church.

She was employed at Riverside Medical Center for 30 years, retiring in 2004.

Bev enjoyed biking, camping, swimming and spending time with her children and grandchildren.

She was an active member of St. Mary Magdalene Church and was a volunteer at the Wisconsin Veterans Home.

Survivors include her husband, Carl; a daughter, Jodi (Kent) Buttles of Ogdensburg; sons, Robert Meilinger of Wau-paca and Thomas (Joelle) Meil-inger of Greenville; grandchildren, Megan Harder of Stevens Point, Samantha (Jason) Passehl of Waupaca, Derek Harder and Chelsie Block, both of Ogdens-burg, Alan Meilinger of Arizona, Garrett Meilinger and Chloe Meilinger, both of Waupaca; Karter Meilinger and Konor Meilinger, both of Greenville; great-grandchildren, Kalyna Harder, Ashlynn Schneider and Masen Passehl; a sister, Janet Petri of West Bend; brothers, Donald (Joyce) Kircher of Laona, Vincent (Kathy) Kircher of West Bend; her mother-in-law, Celeste Meilinger; and sisters in law, Gail Meilinger and Georgiann Waraksa.

She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Bev was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Patrick Meilinger; a daughter, Mary Meilinger; a sister, Carol Fuller; and a special aunt, Norma Westenberger.

A funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Community in Waupaca at 11 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 1, with Rev. Roy Geenen and Father Paul Vanden Hogen officiating.

Interment will be in the St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Ceme-tery in Waupaca.

Visitation will be held at the church on Friday from 9-11 a.m.

In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established.

A.J. Holly and Sons of Waupaca, is assisting the family.
