Loudella Norma Edmison

Loudella Norma Edmison, 81, of Urbana, Ill., passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 29, 2006, at her residence.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 1, at Freese Funeral Home, 302 E. Grand Ave., St. Joseph, Ill., with the Rev. Mark Harris officiating.

Burial will be in Mt. Olive Cemetery, Mayview.

Visitation at the funeral home will be on Thursday from 6 until 8 p.m.

Mrs. Edmison was born May 26, 1925 in West Bend, the daughter of Herman and Aletta (Peters) Quaas, and married Clyde Fletcher on Nov. 25, 1951 in West Bend.

He passed away on May 1, 1972.

On Feb. 14, 1976, she married Francis Gettel in Champaign, Ill. He preceded her in death on Feb. 1, 1978.

She then married Donald Edmison on Nov. 29, 1979 in Champaign.

Survivors include her husband, Donald; two sons, Jeffrey Allan Fletcher of St. Joseph and Russell Kent Fletcher of Fisher; three stepsons, David Edmison of Springfield, Ill., Dan Edmison of Red Wing, Minn. and Ron Edmison of Mahomet; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two brothers, Wilmer Quaas of Port Washington and Donald Quaas of West Bend; and four sisters, Elma Thorn of West Bend, Aletta Stautz of Kewaskum, Orlean Lepien of Hartford and Myrtle Fischer of Kewaskum.

Loudella was a member of the St. Joseph United Methodist Church in St. Joseph.

She had worked at the West Bend Aluminum Co., the Courier Newspaper in Urbana and retired from the St. Bank of St. Joseph.

She was active in the Champaign Eagles and Cham-paign American Legion.

Loudella enjoyed camping, fishing, gardening and raising flowers, was an avid Cubs fan and enjoyed going dancing.
