Alexander Narbatovics, 91, a former resident of West Bend for 51 years, died Sunday, Dec. 3, 2006, at Beechwood Rest Home.
He was born on April 15, 1915, in Tukums, Latvia, a son of the late Mikelis and Elizebeth Narbatovics, and on April 21, 1957, he married Milda Jakobi in West Bend.
Alexander was a second generation carpenter, building violins in Latvia as well as being self-employed as a cabinetmaker in West Bend.
He was a member of Martin Luther Ev. Latvian Church, Fond du Lac.
Survivors include three children, Biruta Christian of Fond du Lac, Karl Narbatovics (special friend Dana Hroch) of Fond du Lac, and John (Colleen) Narbatovics of Adell; six grandchildren and a great-grandson, Deidrea (Warren) Stanke, great-grandson, Tynnan Liermann, Kelly Narbatovics (special friend Dana Lueloff), Ryan Narbatovics, Randy (Kim) Narbatovics, Melisa Narbatovics (special friend Chris Winkler) and Lucas (Misty) Narbatovics.
He is further survived by his wife’s three sisters, Vera Egle of Grafton, Olga Edwards of England and Irene Kolovs of Australia.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Milda, on March 2, 2006.
The funeral service will be at 11a.m. on Friday, Dec. 8, at Mach Funeral Chapel, 31 E. Division St., Fond du Lac, with Rev. Dr. Lauma Zusevics officiating.
Burial will follow in Rienzi Cemetery.
The visitation will be at the funeral chapel on Friday from 9 a.m. until the time of service.
