Richard "Butch" Holzman
Richard "Butch" Holzman of Hartford passed away on Monday, Dec. 4, 2006 at the Aurora Medical Center in Hartford. He was 63 years old.
He was born Sept. 3, 1943 in Chicago to Andrew and Mary (nee Bihn) Holzman. He married Barbara Smith on Sept. 16, 1967 at St. Peterís Catholic Church in Skokie, Ill.
Butch was a member of St. Kilian. He was employed at Aurora Medical Center in Hartford as a materials handler for 10 years.
He loved to golf, fish and travel.
Butch is survived by his wife of 39 years, Barbara; two sons, Steven (Stacey) of Hartford and David (Lisa) of Sussex; a daughter, Carolyn (Patrick) West of Pennsylvania; four grandchildren, Cassandra, Nicholas, Kendra and Katherine; his mother, Mary Holzman of Florida; and a sister, Marilyn Jensen, of Florida.
He is further survived by brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, other relatives and special friends.
Butch was preceded in death by his father, Andrew, and a brother, Robert.
Funeral services for Butch will be Thursday, Dec. 7, 2006 at 7 p.m. at Shimon Funeral Home, 824 Union St. (Highway 83), with Father David LaPlante officiating.
Family will greet relatives and friends on Thursday from 3-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to the American Cancer Society appreciated.
