James F. Conrad,

James F. Conrad, 84, of Mil-waukee, formerly of West Bend, died Sunday, Dec. 24, 2006 at the Alexian Village Health Care Cen-ter, Milwaukee.

He was born March 14, 1922 in South Milwaukee to the late Nicholas and Catherine (nee Grobschmidt) Conrad and married Margaret Mountin on Jan. 27, 1951 in Milwaukee.

Jim was raised in South Milwaukee and served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II. He was a topographer in the European Theater.

After his discharge, he became a salesman for Sun Chemicals until his retirement. He then became a driver for the American Red Cross.

Jim was a member of the Father Casper Rehrl Council 1964 Knights of Columbus, the Lt. Ray Dickop Post 36 American Legion, St. Frances Cabrini Church and was the past president of the South Milwaukee Jaycees.

Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Margaret; four children, Elizabeth (L. Michael) English of Appleton, Kathleen (John) Riebau of Fox Point, Timothy (Julie) of Appleton and Thomas (Kia) of Madison; four grandchildren; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.

Preceding him in death were his brother, John (Kay) and his sister, Phyllis (Ellsworth) Kid-man.

Funeral services will be held Friday, Dec. 28, at 11 a.m. in the Alexian Village Chapel, 9301 N. 76th St., Milwaukee, followed by entombment in Washington County Memorial Park, West Bend.

Visitation will be Friday in the chapel from 10 until 10:45 a.m.
