Alfonzo Frank "Al" Miranda

Alfonzo Frank "Al" Miranda, 66, of West Bend, was born into eternal life on Saturday, Dec. 23, 2006 at Froedtert Memorial Lutheran Hospital, Wawautosa, surrounded by his family and friends.

Al was born on Dec. 16, 1940, the son of Teofilo and Tillie (nee Garcia) Miranda in El Paso, Texas, and honorably served his country in the United States Army from 1961 through 1964.

On July 8, 1977, he devoted his love and life to Shirley Ann Lupien in Garden Grove, Calif.

After marriage, the couple began a loving family of their own.

Al most enjoyed spending quality time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

He also loved watching football, especially U.S.C., and enjoyed driving, whether it was for work, vacation or taxiing his grandchildren everywhere.

He was always current on political affairs, and had a passion for sharing his political views. Al encouraged every person to stand up for what they believe in.

Al will be deeply missed by his loving wife and best friend of 29 years, Shirley; his children, Laurie (Mark) Boldt and Vicky (Luis) Barajas, both of California, Dawn (Rick) Brace of West Bend, Pamela (David) Munkelt of California, Lisa Dorzok (special friend, Jonathan Strand) of West Bend and JR (special friend, Lori Hennes) of West Bend; his grandchildren, Bradley and Bailey Boldt, Johnny, Rafael and Amanda Barajas, Adam and Austin Brace, Sarah Dorzok, Reilly Strand and Alexandria Miranda.

He is further survived by his sisters, Alice (Joe) Murillo and Estella (Albert) Rodriguez, both of California, Isela "Honey" (Gary) Ries of Nebraska and Tillie (Squire "Mac") Burke of California; his brother, Albert (Roseanne) Miranda of California; Shirley’s extensive family, nieces, nephews, other special relatives and many friends.

Al was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Rudy and Leo Miranda; and his parents-in-law.

A funeral service will be held in honor of Al on Friday, Dec. 29, at 7 p.m. at the Phillip Funeral Home Chapel, 1420 W. Paradise Drive, West Bend.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 4 p.m. until the time of the funeral service.

Cremation will take place at Paradise Cremation Services of West Bend.
