Dolores V. "Dolly" Nehrbass

Dolores V. "Dolly" Nehrbass, nee Weiss, 89, of West Bend, passed away Sunday, Dec. 24, 2006 at the Samaritan Health Center.

Dolly was born in Kellner, on Oct. 5, 1917 to John and Bertha (nee Lother) Weiss, and was raised in West Bend.

After her marriage to the late Peter J. Nehrbass on June 1, 1935, the couple lived in the West Bend area and were the owners and operators of Nehrbass Market.

After retirement, the couple lived at Pine Lake in Hiles, for 25 years, returning to the West Bend area in 1995.

Dolly enjoyed crocheting, cooking, baking, cards, fishing and above all enjoyed spending time with her family, especially the grandchildren.

She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church of West Bend.

Dolly will be missed by her children, Janine (Richard) Stoffel of Jackson, Jerry (Nancy) Nehr-bass of Campbellsport, Janet (Robert) Flasch of West Bend, Joel (Linda) Nehrbass of Kewas-kum and Julianne (David) Witte of Janesville.

She is further survived by 22 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; two daughters-in-law, Susan and Carol Nehrbass; a sister, Edythe (Chuck) Zastrow of West Bend; a brother, Edgar Weiss of West Bend; two sisters-in-law, June Weiss and Lillian Hartman both of West Bend; a special friend, Marie Hoepner; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Peter; a son, James; a grandson, Jamie; three sisters, Lillian, Avis and Esther; four brothers, Walter, Harold, Milton and Leslie; and two sisters-in-law, Marion Weiss and Mildred Weiss.

A memorial service to honor Dolly will be on Friday, Dec. 29, at 6 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, 140 N. Seventh Ave., West Bend, with Pastor David Schoob officiating.

Cremation will take place at Paradise Cremation Services of West Bend.

Visitation with family and friends will be held on Friday at the church only from 3 p.m. until the time of the memorial service at 6 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to Trinity Luther-an Church, West Bend, or the Dr. James Albrecht Free Clinic.

The Phillip Funeral Home, West Bend, is assisting the family.
