On Oct. 27, 1962, she devoted her love to August Paul Fechter Jr. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Newburg.
After marriage, the couple began a loving family of their own.

She loved gardening, cooking, and especially loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Sylvia will be deeply missed and forever loved by her husband, August; her children, Dale Fechter and Sally (Kerry) Lewin, both of West Bend, Brenda (Kevin) Kempf of Adell and Kenneth Fechter of West Bend; her three cherished grandchildren, Jacob Lewin, Matthew Kempf and Jessica Lewin; her mother, Veronica Dohrwardt; two brothers, Frank (Barb) Dohr-wardt of Jackson, and Willard Dohrwardt of West Bend; her sisters-in-law, Clara Neu of West Bend, MaryJane Fechter of Random Lake and Irene Fechter of Newburg; and her brothers-in-law, Ray (Arlene) Fechter of Florida, Richard (Martha) Fech-ter of West Bend and Ed (Joan) Hetebrueg of West Bend.
She will also be missed by two aunts, nieces, nephews, other special relatives and dear friends.
