Amanda C. Meyer

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Calvary Ev. Lutheran Church (247 S. Main St.) in Thiensville for Amanda C. (nee Schultz) Meyer, longtime resident of Brown Deer. Amanda went home to the Lord at 9:45 a.m. on Christmas Day, Monday, Dec. 25, 2006 at the age of 92. Visitation will be held on Friday at the church, from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m., prior to the funeral service. Interment will take place at Immanuel Cemetery in Cedarburg. The Schramka-Densow Funeral Home in Thiensville is serving the family.

Amanda was the housekeeper and nanny for the Dernehl family. She also worked as a baker at the Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary in Mequon for many years.

Amanda was the beloved wife of the late John Frederick Meyer; dear mother of the late John (Dawn) Meyer of Arizona and Robert (Doretta) Meyer of Texas; loving grandmother of the late Johnny Meyer, Jeff (Ingrid) Meyer, Laurie (James) Zander and Greg (Shanna) Meyer; loving great-grandmother of Ryan and Katerina Meyer, Jennifer, Ashley and Nicole Zander, and Maycie, Summer and Taylor Meyer. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Amanda was preceded in death by her parents Albert and Ida (nee Lindemann) Schultz; and brothers and sisters Arthur Schultz, William Schultz, Adella Sprenger, Viola Bowe, Clarence Schultz and Albert Schultz.
