Raymond J. Fuiten

Raymond J. Fuiten of Rubicon passed away Saturday, Jan. 14, 2006 at the age of 88 years. He was born Dec. 26, 1917 in the town of Herman, the son of Arnold and Martha (nee Blank) Fuiten.

Ray was a dairy farmer and farmed in the Rubicon area most of his life and worked at Hartford Memorial Hospital in the maintenance department and worked at Iron Ridge Co-op. He was a long time member of St. Johnís Ev. Lutheran Church in Woodland and later a member at Peace Lutheran in Hartford.

He is survived by his children, Donald (Jean Ihde of Neosho) Fuiten of Rubicon, Gilbert (Karen) Fuiten of Rubicon, Diane (William Hawk) of Florida and Raymond E. (Cathy) Fuiten of Germantown. He is the loving grandfather of 12 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. He is further survived by his brother, Milton (Mary Jo) Fuiten of Green Bay, his sister Marcella (Art) Troeller of Hartford and sister-in-law Charlene Fuiten of Neosho. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Ray is preceded in death by parents, his son Edward, his daughter Barbara Fuiten, his brother Wilmer Fuiten and daughter-in-law Alice Fuiten.

Visitation was Thursday, Jan. 19, 2006 at St. Johnís Ev. Lutheran Church in Woodland. The funeral service followed, with Rev. John Bonow III officiating. Interment was at St. Johnís Church Cemetery.
