Cynthia A. Pufahl
Cynthia A. Pufahl, 87, of Horicon, died on Monday, Jan. 30, 2006, at the Beaver Dam Community Hospital with her family at her side.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 3, at St. Stephen Ev. Lutheran Church in Horicon.
Rev. Daniel Seehafer will officiate, and burial will be in the Oakhill Cemetery.
Visitation will be held at the Murray Funeral Home in Horicon on Thursday from 4 until 8 p.m., and again at the church on Friday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service.
The former Cynthia Adella Kirchoff was born on Sept. 9, 1918, in Rice Lake, the daughter of Edwin and Louise (Schmeling) Kirchoff.
On Dec. 19, 1936 she was united in marriage to Elmer Pufahl at Bethany Lutheran Church in Hustisford.
Cynthia lived in Horicon and the surrounding area most of her life and was a longtime member of St. Stephen Ev. Lutheran Church.
She enjoyed fishing and the outdoors with her husband and family.
She was always fond of her flower garden and loved to quilt.
Cynthia was very proud of all her family and the time she spent with them was very important to her. She lived life to the fullest.
Survivors include 13 children, David (Prudy) Pufahl of Horicon, Harley (Luella) Pufahl of West Bend, Lester (Rochelle) Pufahl of Beaver Dam, Carol (Don) Kohrt of Poynette, Leonard (Sheila) Pufahl of Portsmouth, N.H., Nancy Peterson of Burnett, Roy (Linda) Pufahl of Horicon, Lynette (Dave) Seets of Junction, Ill., Mae Ellen (John) Carlson of Genoa, Linda (Mike) Kane and Fred (Bridget) Pufahl, both of Horicon, Cindy (Gerry J.) Rechek of Beaver Dam and Cheryl (Mark) Jacobson of Horicon; 34 grandchildren, 57 great-grandchildren; a great- great-grandchild; a sister, Ruth Belling of Atwater; a brother, Marvin (Katie) Kirchoff of Beaver Dam; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.
Cynthia was preceded in death by her parents, her husband in 1996 and two brothers, Erhard and Ervin.
Memorials in Cynthia’s name are suggested and will be divided among several local charities.
