Dorothy M. Brandenburg

Dorothy M. Brandenburg, nee Kippenhan, 96, of Slinger entered into eternal peace on Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2006 at Hartford Care Center.

Dorothy was born May 21, 1909 to John and Mathilda (nee Tolzmann) Kippenhan in Slinger, where she was also raised, graduating from Slinger High School in 1926.

Dorothy went on to further her education at the Wisconsin Commercial Academy, obtaining her certificate in stenography.

She married her soulmate and best friend, Albert P. Branden-burg, on April 30, 1934 in Slinger.

After marriage, the couple remained in Slinger.

Dorothy loved antiquing and spending time decorating her home. She was blessed with the gift of being creative and crafty, and loved making quilts, knitting, crocheting, sewing, and braiding rugs.

Dorothy will be deeply missed by her many very dear and close friends, and relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and life-companion, Albert, on Feb. 13, 1991.

A funeral service to honor the full life of Dorothy will be held on Friday, Feb. 3, at 11 a.m. at the Phillip Funeral Home Chapel, 119 Kettle Moraine Dr. S., Slinger.

Pastor John Tschudy will officiate and interment will take place in Union Cemetery in Slinger.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at 11 a.m.

Appreciation is extended for memorials donated, in lieu of flowers, to the Hartford Memorial Hospital Life Line.
