Lisa Nadine Jackson
Lisa Nadine Jackson, nee Martin, 45, of Newport Richey, Fla., formerly of Racine, passed away on Thursday, Feb. 2, 2006 in Newport Richey, after a courageous battle with breast cancer.
She was born Feb. 9, 1960 in Racine to James R. and Janice (nee Krinkey) Mar-tin, and graduated in 1978 from J.I. Case High School in Racine.
Lisa was united in marriage to Robert "Detroit" Jackson on Dec. 31, 1982 in Pensacola, Fla.
He preceded her in death on March 22, 1997.
She served in the United States Navy for 10 years.
Lisa was most recently employed at Pall Aerospace in Newport Richey.
She was a member of the American Legion, the American Legion Motorcycle Club and NCOA Club.
Survivors include her father, James R. Martin of Newport Richey; five sisters, Sherrell Martin, Sandilane (Mike) Eichler and Diane (Tom) Frye, all of Racine, Lori Ammons of Milton, Fla. and Jana (Alex) Joseph of Newport Richey; three brothers, Dayne Martin and Jamie Martin, both of Racine, and Jay Martin of Enterprise, Ala.; and special friend, Don’a Messer of Newport Richey.
Further surviving are nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Lisa was preceded in death by her mother, Janice K. Martin, and her beloved husband, Robert "Detroit" Jackson.
In keeping with Lisa’s wishes cremation has taken place. There will be a memorial service at West Lawn Memorial Park, Racine, to be announced at a later date.
The Hanson Funeral Home, Racine, is assisting the family.
