Edwin "Eddie" Jaeger
Funeral services were held on Feb. 8 at the Mueller Funeral Home in Cedarburg for Edwin "Eddie" Jaeger, who passed away on Thursday, Feb. 2, 2006 at the Lasata Care Center in Cedarburg, at the age of 83. Visitation was held at the funeral home prior to the service. The Rev. Mitch Schultz officiated the funeral service and interment took place at St. Catherine’s Catholic Cemetery in Brown Deer.
Edwin W. Jaeger was born on Aug. 3, 1922 in Thiensville, to William and Amanda (nee Mueller) Jaeger. He was employed by Schwermann Trucking for over 40 years before he retired. Eddie then began working for the Riteway Bus Company and was a bus driver for over 15 years.
Eddie loved his cars ... he was best known for driving his two 1928 Chevys around town. He was a member of the Vintage Chevrolet Club of America and also enjoyed playing the accordion. Besides driving his vintage cars, Eddie enjoyed walking, jogging and playing his accordion for the residents at the Lasata Care Center.
Eddie is survived by his children Duane (Linda) Jaeger of Grafton, Kathleen (Dennis) Jones of Cedarburg, Richard Jaeger of Mesa, Ariz. and Timothy (Robin) Jaeger of Cedarburg; grandchildren Kevin (Dee Anna) Jones of Grafton, Tracey (Peter) Jackson of Grafton and Jamie Jones of Cedarburg; great-grandchildren Patrick and Tricia Jackson, Dustin Jones and Breanna Vey; and sister-in-law Florence Jaeger.
Eddie was preceded in death by his wife Geraldine (nee Esser); his parents; and brother Walter "Ozzie" Jaeger.
