Albert F. Strobel
Albert F. Strobel, 61, of Hartford, passed away on Thursday, Feb. 9, 2006 at the Hartford Care Center.
He was born July 5, 1944 in Milwaukee to Albert and Loretta (nee Warner) Strobel.
Albert was a dedicated and faithful member of Divine Savior Lutheran Church in Hartford, and was a proud veteran serving in the U.S. Army.
He had been involved in Scouting for more than 20 years, starting with the Cub Scouts and then working with the Boy Scouts.
He enjoyed his family and loved them dearly, especially watching the grandchildren.
Albert loved playing bass guitar with the musical group Leather and Lace.
Survivors include two sons, Al (Kim) Strobel of Iron Ridge and Russ (Connie) Strobel of Arizona; three stepchildren, Cindy Priebe of Hartford, Scott Wiltgen of Waupaca and Toni (Rich) Lemke of Hartford; 16 grandchildren, Nathaniel, Alexis, Bradley, Mitch-ell, Kayla, Josh, Joel, Jamie, Tanya, Kyle, Jimmy, Jessica, Dakota, Edward, Dustin and Jordan; a great-grandson, Calvin; two brothers, Tom (June) Strobel of Eagle River and Rick (Diane) Strobel of Crivitz; two sisters, Peggy Berlce of Alaska and Sandy Disch of Racine.
He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Preceding him in death were his parents and a son, Fred Strobel.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, Feb. 12 at 7 p.m. at Divine Savior Lutheran Church, 3200 Highway K, Hartford.
Rev. Ricky Schroeder will officiate, and inurnment will be in Washington County Memorial Park, West Bend.
Family will greet relatives and friends at the church on Sunday from 4 to 7 p.m.
The Shimon Funeral Home, Hartford, is assisting the family.
