George J. Heilmann

George J. Heilmann found peace at the age of 69 while surrounded by his loving wife and children on Feb. 12, 2006 at home in West Bend after a courageous battle with cancer.

He was born Feb. 6, 1937 in West Bend to the late George Sr. and Elizabeth (nee Brockhaus) Heilmann, and married Barbara Hundt at Holy Angels Catholic Church on Sept. 12, 1959.

George will be deeply missed and remembered by his loving wife, Barbara; his cherished children, Jennifer (David) Ruditys of Germantown and Tedd (Noelle Schickowski) Heilmann of Vir-oqua, and his special grandson, Justin Schultz who will forever remember his "Papa."

He is further survived by his sister, Marilyn Thull; sister-in-law, Leonarda Heilmann, and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

George will be dearly missed by all those who were blessed to have known him.

He was preceded in death by a half-brother, Felix Heilmann and a half-sister, Florence Held.

George lived in Wisconsin, Illinois, South Dakota and Florida, returning to West Bend in 2002.

He had a varied career, the majority spent working at Eaton Corp. in Milwaukee as a computer systems analyst for 23 years before retiring in 1993.

He enjoyed spending time with his family and loved them dearly.

He also enjoyed playing cards, traveling, gardening, home im-provements, working on his computer and loved his dog, Shadow.

We will celebrate his life with a Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, Feb. 14, at 7 p.m. at Holy Angels Catholic Church, 138 N. Eighth Ave., West Bend.

Father John Wutscheck will officiate.

The family will greet relatives and friends at the church only on Tuesday from 5 to 7 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to Kathy House or the donorís charity of choice are appreciated.
