Alvina M. "Mutz" Herziger

A memorial Mass was held yesterday at St. Francis Borgia Church-North in Cedarburg for Alvina M. "Mutz" Herziger (nee Greiveldinger), who passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2006 at the age of 89. A memorial gathering was held on Feb. 20 at the church, prior to Mass. Interment took place at Zur Ruhe Cemetery in Cedarburg. The Schramka-Densow Funeral Home in Thiensville assisted the family with arrangements.

Alvina was the former owner of the Herziger Meat Market and Scotty’s Tavern in Cedarburg.

Alvina is survived by her children Jean Benz, Henry Herziger and John Herziger; grandchildren Scott Herziger, Hiedi (Geoff Gaston) Herziger, Todd Benz and Troy (Marcy) Benz; great-grandchildren Baylee Benz; step- great-grandchildren Adam, Brody and Chayton Salmon; sister-in-law Lorraine Greiveldinger; nieces Betty Schanz and Kathy Weber. She is further survived by Judy Herziger and special friends Margaret, Keith, Marion, Denny and Lyman.

Alvina was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 64 years, Arbin Herziger; and her brother Larry Greiveldinger.
