Carl W. "Bill" Wegner Jr.

Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 23 at Eernisse Funeral Home in Port Washington for Carl W. "Bill" Wegner Jr. of Saukville, who passed away at the age of 63 on Friday, Feb. 17, 2006 at Froedtert Memorial Lutheran Hospital in Wauwatosa, where he had been a patient for the past several weeks. Deacon Tom Surges will officiate the funeral service. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Feb. 23, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., prior to the funeral service. Burial will take place at St. Paul Cemetery in Grafton.

Bill was born on May 8, 1942, son of Arleus (nee Gochenaur) Wegner and the late Carl Wegner Sr. He graduated from Grafton High School in 1960 and worked as garage foreman for his father at Wegner-Hinz Company. in Grafton. He was last employed by Lakeside International in Random Lake as the parts manager.

Bill was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Grafton. He enjoyed fishing, planting trees, cutting firewood and being outdoors so that he could mow the lawn and operate his garden tractor.

Bill is survived by his children Carl (Chris) Wegner III of Port Washington and Sherry Wegner of Saukville; special friend Sharon Wegner of Port Washington; grandchildren Madeline, Megan and Michael Wegner; mother Arleus Wegner of Grafton; sister Penny (Rick) Stueber of Ingeleside, Ill.; and brother Jim (Jane) Wegner of Grafton. He is further survived by other relatives and friends.

Bill was preceded in death by his father Carl Wegner Sr.
