Margaret H. Braun
Margaret H. Braun (nee Grace) passed away on Friday, Feb. 17, 2006 at St. Luke’s Medical Center in Milwaukee. She was 85 years old.
She was born April 19, 1920 in Hartford to Edward and Permelia (nee Tower) Grace. She married Donald Braun on November 16, 1945 in Hartford.
Margaret was a member of Peace Lutheran Church and she also was a member of their Missions Society for many years. She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary and the Daughters of the American Revolution. Margaret worked at the Hartford Savings Bank for 47 years retiring in 1987. She still continued to be active in the bank as a member of the board of directors. She received the Wisconsin Bankers Association award for 50 years of service. Margaret enjoyed a good conversation. She never met a person she couldn’t talk with. She had a pleasant spirit and a great sense of humor. She enjoyed reading and watching some T.V.
Margaret is survived by her son, Ken (Linda) Braun of Hartford; her daughter, Barb, also of Hartford; two grandchildren, Kyle (Teri) and Darci (fiancˇ Jim Boettcher); and a great grandchild, Delaney. She is further survived by other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald, and a sister, Betty, and her husband, Clarence "Clutz" Wenzel.
Funeral Services for Margaret were Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2006 at Peace Lutheran Church in Hartford, with Pastor David Wietzke officiating.
Margaret’s family greeted relatives and friends on Tuesday evening at Shimon Funeral Home in Hartford and on Wednesday morning at the church.
Memorials to Peace Lutheran Church or Medical Center Foundation would be appreciated.
