Myrtle G. Opper

Myrtle G. Opper, 80, of Brillion, formerly of Forest Junction, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, Jan. 4, 2006 at Calumet Medical Center in Chilton.

Myrtle was born Dec. 16, 1925 in Fond du Lac County, the daughter of the late George and Thresea (nee Gauth) Adrian, and married Harold Opper on Jan. 26, 1946 in West Bend.

Myrtle farmed with her husband in the Menchalville area from 1961 to 1972.

She was a former employee of Brandt Bus Transportation for 35 years.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Dianne (Kiekhaefer) Opper of Wayside; two grandsons, Michael of Wayside and Christopher of Green Bay; two great-grandchildren, Kayla Opper of Bernard, Iowa and Adam Kuester of Wayside; a sister-in-law, Ethel (Schumacher) Haferman of West Bend; nieces; nephews; other relatives and many friends.

Preceding her in death were her husband, Harold of 57 years, in 2003; seven siblings, Edith, Ethel, Eva, Harold, Earl, Arnold, Dorothy and their spouses; a sister-in-law; and five brothers-in-law.

Friends may call at the Zion Lutheran Church, 8378 Highway W, Wayside, on Monday, Jan. 9 after 9 a.m. until the time of the funeral services at 11 a.m.

Rev. Steven Kline and Rev. Andrew Thompson will officiate, and burial will be in the church cemetery.

Should friends so desire, expressions of sympathy may take the form of a donation to Zion Lutheran Church, Wayside.

The Nickel Funeral Home, Morrison, is assisting the family.
