Fred J. "Freddy" Riemer
Fred J. "Freddy" Riemer, 53, of West Bend, was welcomed into eternal peace on Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2006, surrounded by his loving family at St. Lukeís Medical Center, Mil-waukee.
Fred was born on March 24, 1952 to Frank and Ed-na (nee Sch-mick) Riemer, Jr., in Milwau-kee.
He was raised in the Germantown area, and graduated in 1970 from Washington High School.
Fred furthered his education at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh and the UW-Milwaukee, before he founded FJR Manufac-turing Inc. of West Bend, to manufacture custom automation equipment.
He was married to Deborah Deverse in 1972 and the couple began a family with his daughter, Melissa.
He later devoted his love and his life to Lisa A. Weyland, on Oct. 29, 1983, at Glacier Hills Park in Richfield.
After marriage, the couple continued raising a family of their own.
His hobbies included astronomy, woodworking, building model trains and playing tennis.
He was an avid "Trekkie" and sci-fi buff, and above all, loved dedicating his time and energy to his family.
Fredís Bahai faith was the foundation of his beliefs and was intertwined throughout his everyday life.
Fred will be forever remembered and loved by his cherished wife and best friend, Lisa; his treasured children, Melissa (Matt) Adelsbach of West Allis and Logan and Miranda Riemer of West Bend; his adored parents, Frank and Edna Riemer; his father-in-law, Jack (Joan) Wey-land of Menomonee Falls; his sister, Linda (Jeff) Zokan of Naples, Fla.; and his first wife, Deborah Riemer.
He will also be deeply missed by his brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, other special relatives and many dear friends.
Fred was preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Harriet Wey-land; and two nephews, Justin Dahleen and Jimmy John Coffey.
A funeral service to honor the life of Fred will be held on Friday, Jan. 13, at noon at the Phillip Funeral Home Chapel, 1420 W. Paradise Drive, West Bend.
Interment will take place in Washington County Memorial Park, West Bend.
Visitation with family and friends will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 10 a.m. until the time of the services at noon.
