She was the loving mother of Susan (Russ) Darrow, Debora (Thomas) DeNoble, Dr. Peter (Wendy) Slocum and Scott (Susan) Slocum; the proud grandmother of nine grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; and dear sister of Judith McConnell.
Other relatives and good friends further survive her.

Jean attended Downer College and was a longtime member of The Town Club.
She worked as an assistant to the dean of social services at the University of Wisconsin-Milwau-kee for over 15 years.
Before she struggled with Alzheimerís, Jean lived a very active and full life.
With her many friends, she enjoyed playing cards, tennis and golf and was an avid reader and gardener.
She was a genuine person with a down-to-earth attitude.
Jean embraced the opportunity to make new friends, and she was loved for her warmth, kindness and wit.
She was devoted to her family. Indeed, even until the end, she always recognized her children.
Until we meet again Jean,
we will embrace the memory
of your smile and the
twinkle of goodness in your eyes.
