Michael Wayne Draxler
A beloved husband, son, brother, father and grandfather, Michael Wayne Draxler, 52, entered into eternal life on Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2006 at St. Maryís Ozaukee.
He was born July 19, 1953 in Park Falls, and his family moved to West Bend when he was 3 years old.
Mike graduated from West Bend West High School where he played football as a fullback and linebacker.
Two years after meeting the love of his life, Linda Stauske, the two were united in marriage on Dec. 30, 1978.
They had two daughters, Crystal, born in 1980 and Jessica in 1983.
Mike was employed as the manager of sales and service at Neuens Fredonia Lumber Co.
An avid and skilled hunter, Mike took great pride in deer hunting, spending many days and nights hunting with friends in Fifield where he and his wife built a cabin and spent much of their free time.
Survivors include his wife, Linda of Cedarburg; two daughters, Crystal (Steven Potter) Draxler of Milwaukee and Jessica (Mike) Zurn of Slinger; his parents, Gene and Jenny Draxler of Jackson; his sisters, Susan and Sally Draxler of West Bend; a brother, Matthew (Joyce) Draxler of West Bend; his grandchildren, Valerie and Navy Zurn; his mother-in-law, Loretta Stauske and many other family members and friends.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Jan. 14 at 2 p.m. at Davidís Star Ev. Lutheran Church, Kirchhayn.
The family will receive friends at the church on Saturday from noon until the time of services.
